I aim to enable individuals to take charge of their communication style and take responsibility for creating the constructive impact they desire. In the current climate, self awareness and self belief are all important. How do we not only recognise our capabilities but extend them powerfully and consistently to create positive change for ourselves and others? In my work with clients I am seeking to lead them to a greater understanding and realisation of their potential. My work as an actor and theatre director has taught me that developing emotional intelligence can give us the edge when faced with challenging situations and times.
As an Executive Performance coach with over 25 years’ professional experience, Rob has worked with senior executives in sectors as diverse as financial services, engineering and the music industry.
He designs and develops courses for MLA with leadership and coaching skills being a key focus.
Issues explored include; effective communication, impact, presentation, problem solving, career planning, interview techniques and media training.
His interest and involvement in overseas development has led to consultancy contracts with NGO’s in Vietnam and Cambodia resulting in a particular understanding of cross cultural issues in South East Asia. He is known for his insight, challenge and empathetic approach in his coaching methods.
Key achievements have been:
- Leading a Maynard Leigh team that designed and developed a Star Service Customer Experience Programme resulting in a National Training Award
- A 5 year individual coaching programme, supporting a coachee in progressing from UK Managing Director to Global President of a large multinational corporation
- Design and delivery of coaching programmes for Cambodian facilitators in the development sector
- Design and delivery of an Empowerment and Leadership programme for Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, Ho Chi Minh City
- Work as a theatre director and acting coach in some of the leading theatre schools in London
Rob works both long and short term with clients often at board level, with leadership skills as a key coaching focus. He believes in building on the strengths of his clients and values both honesty and challenge both ways within the coaching process.
